November 1st, 1997
Synopsis
In the Crimson Dawn, Archangel comes face to face with Psylocke, who is now a member of the Undercloaks. The two spar until they are joined by Kuragari, who embraces Psylocke as his queen. They leave Archangel to die at the hands of lesser Undercloaks.
In New York, Gomurr is visited by the recently deceased Tar, who grants Gomurr the official title of Proctor of the Crimson Dawn. Gomurr then travels to the Crimson Dawn and finds Archangel. The two travel to the site where Psylocke's life was saved and the debt incurred. Gomurr explains that the debt should never have been Psylocke's but Archangel's. Accepting this, Archangel pledges to give his heart - his life - to pay off the debt. Elsewhere, Psylocke feels Kuragari's grip on her begin to loosen.
Archangel tracks down Kuragari's throne room and attacks. He is quickly overwhelmed, however, and Kuragari tasks Psylocke with ending Archangel's life. As a surprise to all, Psylocke is completely free of her enslavement and she stabs Kuragari. Before Kuragari can amass his forces, Gomurr arrives and claims the right to rule the Crimson Dawn. Psylocke strikes down Kuragari's body, but his soul escapes into shadow. She and Archangel return to New York with a renewed hope that they can salvage their relationship.
